With a few swooshes, drags and clicks, you can create weird arrangements of overlapping shapes filled with color. The joy of Paint is simply playing around with the tools and seeing what artworks you can create. Tooltips appear to offer users guidance, although in reality you don't really need them. It's not easy to explain all brush parameters, so I leave this for your experimentation. When you change the background from black to white, the palette changes from additive to subtractive and the feeling of the painting is very different.
